Michigan City Beach Photos

This session was a wonderful mix of a beach session and a kids at play session.

We started with a few basic portraits before letting this little guy just play with some beach toys.

I love these photo sessions. I never really know what is going to happen or when. Some kids just play quietly. Some go crazy. This guy ran around a bit and soon he was in the water splashing and playing around.

By the time we finished a half hour session we had hundreds of awesome photos.

He had started the session so quiet and shy, but half an hour of fun later and there were smiles and fist pumps all around.

Thats the reality with most of these kids at play type sessions. Even the most shy kids will relax and play very often. It makes for awesome photos.

Washington Park Beach in Michigan City is great for these sessions. The sun sets behind the lighthouse when you look over the water. The main beach can be busy, but off to the side it is mostly quiet and there is enough room for these kinds of photos.
