Loews Chicago O’Hare Wedding
Christina and Kevin had a wonderful winter wedding a few weeks ago. Loews Chicago O’Hare was a great venue for a totally indoor wedding.
I loved the room where the bridesmaids got ready has to be one of the biggest hotel rooms I have been in recently. It may sound silly to mention that, but when you are trying to photograph about ten people getting hair and make up and find room for detail photos, the average hotel room gets really cramped. The room we were in was awesome!
Keeping the theme of space, and adding backdrops. Formal group photos and a first look in the average hotel are extremely challenging in small spaces. We had no space issues at Loews Chicago O’Hare! There are huge long open spaces and some incredible murals to be found. I just loved the colored wall with the crazy man on his side portrait haha.
I’m always a sucker for reflections!
We were able to find ample space for creative formals here too. These bench seats built into the walls were great to stagger formals.
The ceremony was in its own room right across from the huge reception hall. The drapes and lighting were perfection.
The reception space, like everywhere else, was gigantic and it was also so well lit. They have in house uplighting with extreme customization.
The dessert table was as tasty as it looks. There was a team of staff from the hotel working hard all evening keeping it full of tasty treats.
I always enjoy capturing some fun dancing photos. Most photographers seem to bug out as soon as the speeches are done. But I have found so many great memories are made after the dancing starts and the bar has been open a while haha.
Here is a gallery of some favorite images from the day.
