Circa 1856 Wedding – I love barn weddings!
There are so many amazing barns in the Chicagoland and north west Indiana region. There are big ones like County Line Orchard, Rustic ones in Southern Michigan like Blue Dress Barn, and there are small simple ones like Circa 1856.
Although the main venue is a barn, their bridal suite is a lovely little house with everything a couple needs to get ready, and they can even stay the night after the wedding. This avoids a long drive after a long day.
There are so many doors and little laces for fun photos at this venue. I love this photo of Katie between these big doors.
Katie & Joseph decided to do a first look. I never tell couples what to choose when it comes to being traditional or doing a first look, but a first look often makes photos less rushed and clears the schedule. It also means less pressure away from a crowd in the ceremony. We did a first look on the side of one of the barns.
Their ceremony was next to the pond and a lovely breeze kept everyone comfortable. Eric Jaeger from MB Events was their awesome officiant and DJ. Eric is one of my favorite DJs and offers some personal touches few other DJs include. His personalized story about Katie and Joseph had everyone laughing endlessly at the reception. He is a great story teller.
I Love Sunsets at Weddings
Circa 1856 wedding sunsets Rock! – The sunset was incredible. Every wedding I have done here has had a great sunset. I was so excited to take Katie and Joseph out for ten minutes and create some memorable sunset portraits. If you have seen much of my work you know I love reflections and look for them everywhere haha.
Here are some more awesome photos from the wedding. Hope you like them as much as I do!
