Welcome to this wonderful Blue Dress barn Wedding!

Brittany and Matthew chose one of the most beautiful wedding barn venues in Michigan for their wedding. I had driven past it often over the years, but never been inside. I was so excited when we met and talked about Blue Dress Barn and their hopes for the wedding day. I knew it was going to be wonderful!

Brittany and I at the venue a few months before their wedding. I wanted to take a look around and be as ready as possible. Despite photographing weddings over 19 years and seeing just about every kind of venue, I just wanted to be sure I was set for this wedding. I rarely get to walk through a venue before wedding day, unless I have worked there before.

Most wedding ceremonies are emotional! It’s a special moment. It’s a personal moment, shared with those closest to a couple. There was a dry eye in the crowd by the end of this ceremony. I always learn a lot about a bride and groom at their ceremony. These two have already walked through so many things together and are still standing strong.

The photos say more than I can about their connection and love. Like most guests I was laughing and crying all the way through their ceremony and very personal vows.

After the beautiful outdoor ceremony, we took some beautiful family and formal photos and then enjoyed a wonderful reception with some seriously fun dancing ……….. and great food!
