Blue Dress Barn Venue – Located half way between Chicago and Detroit, this is a lovely venue for those wanting a rural, rustic feel for their wedding. There are two ceremony areas. One is by two old silos and one is in a simple grassy area near the barn. The main reception is inside a wonderful old barn with a high ceiling and room for about 250 guests.

The aisle at the silos is nice and long. It gives guests a great view during entrances and does not make you have to walk slower than a tortoise to not look rushed haha.

As a photographer I love working here because there are so many cool little places. The old van where the guys groomsmen like to hang out and the bridal suite are both so unique.

Outdoor ceremonies really make it easy to capture those moments and emotions from an unobtrusive distance. The flowers around the huge silos are really great backgrounds for these candid ceremony moments.
