Hi There – I’m Shane Cleminson
Thanks for stopping by!
Every photographer today seems to have a blurb about who they are. So here is my blurb!
I am a dad, a grandpa and a photographer. Like many of my clients I'm also recently engaged! I am marrying my best friend in June 2020.
I was born and raised in Zimbabwe Africa. I worked for a mission organization and I photographed weddings and lots of wildlife.
I moved to the USA in 2006 and love it here!
I have worked for large print and online magazines, sports publications as well as newspapers in Chicago, but the majority of my work has been and continues to be weddings and families. I have filmed and photographed over 750 weddings now. Weddings are a mix of all kinds of photography styles from portraits and posed to candid and action. I love wedding photography!
I also take lots of kids and family photos. I really really really love kids from 1 to 5 years old, they are my favorite ages. I love just letting them play and capturing their adventures.
I don’t like to write about myself, so I asked a former client to write a few kind words.
Your wedding, children, and family are important to you. So the photos you have of them matter.
When you’re looking for a photographer for your wedding, or family photos, you want somebody with experience.
You want somebody that makes amazing photos seem effortless and takes the kinds of photos you’ll hang in your home for decades.
Shane has you covered.
He knows what it takes to bring out the best in any family photo session. With over 20 years of experience, Shane has mastered a style that is candid, unobtrusive, and genuine.
Shane has photographed every stage of my family’s growth, from my wife’s first pregnancy in 2012 to my second son’s newborn photos in 2016. His photographs are something we display proudly all over our home and keepsakes we can’t wait to pass down to our kids. In fact, the only reason he didn’t also photograph my wedding was because we didn’t know him at the time, but we wish we did! – Brendan
On your wedding day you need to be able to focus on the moment and know your photographer has you covered.
And not just because he has photographed over seven hundred and fifty weddings. When Shane says he has no fear, he means it.
As a third generation Zimbabwean he has a ton of stories to share. Ask him about losing his first camera to a charging leopard or having his lens cap chewed off by a lion. It’s easy to see why a rainstorm or bridal party mishap doesn’t phase him.
I photographed my proposal! How could I not haha.
I put a camera on a timer to take a photo every three seconds and as we sat and watched the sunrise I proposed.
The fist pump was a partly lucky and party well planned capture.
I cannot wait for June 20 2020!
